Holy Week and Recovery

I was amazed this year at how stressful Holy Week was even when I didn't have a lot to do, comparatively. This year I hardly touched the leaflets. Nor did I have many liturgical responsibilities.... But still there was the stress! Like last year, I was responsible for the Easter Vigil Sermon. Last year I overthought that sermon and the results were disapointing. This year I was relaxed and simply played to my stengths. I brought in the joy and was pleased with how it went. Lots of positive feedback. You can listen to my sermon here.

There was lots of relief when it was all over, but not much time to relax. I had plenty of meetings and communions and other projects on deck.

Then just this past Friday I flew down to Atlanta for the weekend for my Best Friend's Bachelor party. Much fun was had by all this event.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about my next parish. Don't know where that will be--but boy do I have some energy and ideas when I get there!

Lots of movement lately with the PMDC (Parkdale Ministry Development Committee). I'll have to blog about that sometime soon! Needless to say there are lots of great ideas comnig out.

So on it goes...
