that one cut me right to the quick. thanks for passing it on to your readers. i've read some manning and liked a lot of it, but am always uncomfortable with the excess of grace he speaks of, probably not because it's unorthodox but because i like to cling to my own work, stupid as that sounds.

My wife didn't like the question he asks (that jesus will ask) at the beginning, she said it sounded flaky. i'm not sure yet how profound it is, but i am sure that it is profound.

btw, i tried out gcast. i think it'll work well.

I think it could sound flaky if it's not delivered right. Preaching (IMHO) is all about a relational moment, and if you get that relational thing right then you could read The Runaway Bunny and everyone would understand instantly that you are speaking of Christ's love. These days that's what I want out of preaching: "Sir, we would see Jesus."
