Mrs. Beamish

My Uncle M. ;) e-mail this to me. I think just about everyone in church-land can appreciate this one:

Song by Richard Stilgoe & Peter Skellern.

Great stuff!

My own "spirituality" can't make up its mind whether it wants to come out of its CofE shell. So it goes like this.

At the 11:00 am:
V. The peace of the Lord be alway with you.
R. (Thinks) Oh good! Relief! We don't have to do anything -- but is that all?

At the 9:30 am:
V. Peace be with you.
R. (Thinks) Oh good! No hugging, just handshake. How few can I get away with.

Some other venues:
Divers fellow pewsters: Hug, hug, hug. Peace. Peace be with you. Peace, Felicity.
Thinks: Of course this is Canada [the States] so they don't understand the touch-me-not rule. How soon can I get my hands on that dishy curate [novice, friend's husband]? Now that wasn't so bad was it?
