A Quick Note About Housing

We just got 60-days notice that we have to move out of the Farnham house. The owners want to sell it. The timing is terrible--it means moving just as Betsy is starting her classes again. Plus she's out of the country and soon I will be, too. So there are many things to figure out and not a lot of time to do it in. Your prayers are appreciated.

I take it that you have good reason to accept that the landlords are within their rights in terminating this tenancy for this reason (?)

Unfortunately, yes, I believe they are within their rights.

Betsy here--
We were expecting a decision about the renewal of our lease by the end of June, which would have given us several days to sort out our options before I left for Belfast on
July 4th. Of course our landlords knew we would be traveling (I emailed them the dates of our travel many weeks ago) but they are only interested in giving us the minimum amount of notice as stipulated in our contract. By delaying their decision by more than a week and telling us when they knew I would be out of the country and Tay leaving shortly to
join me, they are demonstrating no consideration for our set of circumstances. I am thoroughly PO'd and want to move on ASAP.
